What happens during a home phlebotomy appointment?

Your home phlebotomy appointment usually lasts between 10 to 15 minutes. When the phlebotomist arrives, they'll ask you for proof of ID, so please make sure you have either your passport or driver's licence to hand. If you don't have these forms of ID, a council tax bill is also acceptable.

During your appointment, the phlebotomist will draw blood from your vein (typically in your arm or the back of your hand) into one or more blood collection tubes. Please check the phlebotomist labels the blood collection tubes with your full name and date of birth.

Make you have registered your test kit in the Ivie Wellness app and completed the test request form. You've need to hand this form, along with the pre-paid envelope that arrived in your test kit, to the phlebotomist who will then post your test for you.
